Track Chain Showdown

When it comes to forestry and heavy equipment, not all track chains are created equal. We recently compared two nearly identical machines running under similar conditions — one outfitted with Ace Track chains, the other with ITR. The only difference in the machines, the newer machine with OEM ITR tracks was a flat bottom non leveling machine, which would have worked on easier terrain.
The results weren’t even close.
The Machines:
Both are Neuson harvesters, one working in steep British Columbia forest terrain equipped with Ace Track chains running over 7,500 hours. The second was a flat bottom machine originally from Quebec running OEM ITR chains with only 1,300 hours on them.
The Evidence:
Take a look at the T-Pin wear comparison:
Ace Track — 7,500 hours🔹 Pin boss is still intact🔹 No pin walking🔹 No broken links🔹 Zero warranty issues
ITR — 1,300 hours🔹 T-Pin wear is extreme🔹 Nearing failure🔹 Undercarriage will need early replacement
What This Tells You:
Ace Track isn’t just about price — it’s about longevity, uptime, and peace of mind. These chains are forged, heat-treated, and tested in the harshest terrain in Canada.
We’ve been selling Ace Track since 2018 and have had zero warranty claims to date.
Final Thoughts:
If you're tired of replacing chains after a season or two, it might be time to switch to a chain that’s built to last.
